Michael Thomas Walker

Michael Thomas Walker is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of the Theatre Department at the University of Montevallo, where they teach acting, voice, directing, and devised theatre to undergraduate students. With over 12 years of experience in higher education and professional theatre, they have a strong commitment to empowering young artists through artistic excellence and critical thinking. Michael has also worked as an actor across various media, including theatre, television, and film. They have previously served as an adjunct professor at Nassau Community College and owned Southern Sealing and Services, Alabama's largest pavement maintenance company. Michael is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Acting at Rutgers University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from The University of Alabama.
