Patrick Mullarkey

Patrick Mullarkey has extensive experience in the field of quality assurance and software testing. Patrick is currently working at Monument Re Group as the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to this, they held the position of Group Head of IT Change & Transformation at Monument Re Group. Before joining Monument Re Group, Patrick worked at AXA as the Leader of Quality Assurance and Software Testing for nearly seven years. Patrick also served as a Senior Test Manager at Genworth and as a Senior Test Manager/Consultant at Capgemini. Patrick has a strong background in quality assurance, having worked as the Owner/Operator of Complete QA Consulting and as the Quality Assurance Manager at Wallaware Advanced Research Labs. Ltd. Patrick has also worked in various managerial roles in quality assurance and software testing at Comtex News Network, Intuit, American Red Cross, and Symantec.

Patrick Mullarkey completed their Bachelor of Business Studies (B.Bs) degree in IT, Management, Business Strategy, and Financial Management/Accounting from the Technology University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus, from 1991 to 1996. In 2014 and 2015, they obtained a Diploma in Applied Leadership from Edinburgh Napier University. Patrick also pursued an Advanced Certificate in Leading remote teams using Agile and Lean from QQI Ireland from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, they hold several certifications, including Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in May 2021, Professional Scrum Product Owner™ I (PSPO I) from Scrum.org in October 2018, Practitioner Certificate in Software Testing from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in December 2006, and Foundation Certificate in Software Testing from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in May 2005.
