Chris Doran

Chris Doran is a seasoned professional in the fields of research and industrial design, currently serving as a Research Fellow and Head of 3D at Monumo since February 2022, where the focus is on utilizing AI to innovate industrial design. Concurrently, Chris holds a Non Executive Director position at Fovotec, a start-up dedicated to enhancing 3D image display technology. As a long-term member of the University of Cambridge since 1993, Chris is the Director of Studies at Sidney Sussex College and a Research Fellow. Previous roles include Non Executive Director positions at Healthera and iKVA, and Entrepreneur in Residence at Cambridge Enterprise, advising researchers on business and startup development. Chris also has substantial experience from Arm, serving as Director of Research Collaborations and overseeing the Geomerics unit, and as COO at Geomerics itself. Chris holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from the University of Cambridge.
