Yannick Weyns

Yannick Weyns is a Senior Natural Resources Advisor at MONUSCO and serves as the Deputy Director of the DRC Programme at the German Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). They have previously worked as a Natural Resources Expert for MONUSCO and as a Researcher in Conflict Mapping at the International Peace Information Service. Yannick’s extensive background includes roles as a Human Rights Officer and Assistant in cultural policies at UNESCO. They hold multiple master's degrees in Law, Social and Cultural Anthropology, and International Relations and Diplomacy, all obtained magna cum laude from KU Leuven and the University of Antwerp.
