Dan Saunders

Dan Saunders has a extensive work experience in the finance and accounting industry. Dan is currently working as a Technical Accounting Manager at Monzo Bank since 2022. Prior to that, Dan worked at UBS for 16 years, where they served as the Accounting Control Global Lead. In this role, they led a team of 25 accounting professionals and was responsible for complex accounting for structured derivative transactions and SPEs. Dan was recognized as a subject matter expert and provided accounting opinions and solutions for practical implementation. Before joining UBS, Dan spent 9 years at Deloitte, where they held the position of Senior Audit Manager. Dan led multiple large teams and coordinated global client service teams, gaining experience in various areas including structured transactions, treasury divisions, fixed income and equities businesses, and corporate finance divisions.

Dan Saunders earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, which they attended from 1994 to 1997. After completing their undergraduate studies, they obtained the ACA (Chartered Accountant) certification from ICAEW in September 1997. Later, in June 2003, they obtained the CISI Diploma in Financial Derivatives and Bonds & Fixed Interest Markets from The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (The CISI).
