Dave O'Malley

Dave O'Malley has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology industry.

Dave most recently worked at Monzo Bank as the Chief of Staff and Principal Technical Program Manager in the Cyber Security & Data Protection division, starting in June 2021.

Prior to that, Dave was employed by Capital One for several years. Dave held roles such as Senior Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Principal Associate Technical Program Manager, and Technical Program Manager.

Before joining Capital One, Dave worked at people first, a division of MHR, as a Software Delivery Lead and Lead Java Developer.

Dave also has experience as a Software Engineer at MidlandHR, where they worked on HR & Payroll software and outsourcing solutions.

At Elverys Sports, Dave held a Software Engineer role and was responsible for converting the company's old Access reports into SAP reports.

Their early career included a role at CBE Ltd as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they provided support for software and hardware systems, focusing on new store installations and SQL-based modules.

Dave O'Malley began their education journey in 2003 at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Digital and Software Systems Engineering. Dave successfully completed this degree in 2008.

In terms of certifications, Dave has obtained several throughout their career. In 2015, they obtained the Prince2 Foundation & Practitioner certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Dave further expanded their knowledge in business analysis by completing the Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis from the same institution in November 2018. Additionally, in January 2019, Dave obtained the MSP Certifications from AXELOS Global Best Practice.

Building upon their project management skills, Dave achieved the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in November 2019 and later advanced to become an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) in June 2020. In July 2020, they obtained the Kanban System Design (KMP I) certification from Kanban University.
