Fernando Fanton is the Chief Product Officer at Monzo. Prior to joining Monzo, Fernando was the Chief Product & Technology Officer at Rappi. Fernando has also held senior positions at JUST EAT and Elsevier, where they led the team that built Mendeley.com.

Fernando is a team builder and an innovative leader in the product and technology space. Fernando has a proven track record of success in growing companies and launching new products. Under their leadership, Mendeley grew monthly active users by 4x and established a London technology hub. Fernando also increased B2B penetration by 200% and launched innovative new products like Mendeley Data and Heliyon, an open source journal.

Fanton is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires and has a degree in computer science. Fernando is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

Fernando Fanton completed an MBA at The Wharton School in finance and marketing. Fernando also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in engineering and computer science from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.
