Michael MacNair

Michael Macnair is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer on the Security Platform at Monzo Bank since November 2022, Michael previously held the position of Principal Security Engineer at Thales Digital Identity & Security for over thirteen years, specializing in embedded device vulnerability assessment and improving software development lifecycle security. Earlier roles include Security Engineer at QinetiQ, where expertise in crypto system development was applied, and a Security Consultant internship at Detica. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a PgC in Management from the University of Bath, along with a Master’s Degree in Computer Systems and Software Engineering from the University of York.
