Mike Bray

Mike Bray is the current Chief Information Security Officer at Monzo. Prior to this, they held the position of CISO Bupa BG&UK at Bupa from February 2019 to September 2020. Mike has also worked as the Deputy CISO/Director Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance at Willis Towers Watson from January 2015 to February 2019, and as a Security Consultant at the Financial Conduct Authority from April 2013 to January 2015. Mike Bray has also been self-employed as a Director at MB Security & Risk Consultancy Ltd from July 2012 to October 2020, and as an Information Security Manager/Consultant at LV= from September 2011 to December 2012. Prior to that, they worked as an Executive Business Consultant (Security) at Atos Consulting in London from July 2011 to July 2012. Mike Bray's career began as a Principal Security Consultant at Spark New Zealand from September 2007 to July 2011, and they also worked as a Security Consultant at LogicaCMG in Surrey from August 2004 to August 2007. Finally, they were employed as a PKI/Digital Security Consultant at British Telecommunications PLC in Martlesham from January 1999 to December 2004.

Mike Bray has a BEng in Control Systems Engineering from The University of Sheffield. Mike also has a certification from ISACA in CISM, from ISC2 in CISSP, and from SANS Institute (GIAC) in GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).

They are on a team with Dimitri Masin - VP, Data, Andy Smart - VP, Engineering, and Martin Grayson - Head of Analytics Engineering & Business Intelligence. Their manager is Jonas Templestein, Co-Founder & CTO.
