Robin Murphy

Robin Murphy is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Staff Engineer at Monzo Bank, specializing in backend platforms since March 2017. Murphy previously held roles as Engineering Manager, leading a team of over 20 engineers and managing significant engineering initiatives, as well as working as a Software Engineer on various projects, including the development of savings Pots and APIs. Prior to Monzo Bank, Murphy worked at the BBC from September 2012 to March 2017, where leadership responsibilities included overseeing the iPlayer API team and introducing key frameworks for team development. Early career experience included roles as a Graduate Developer at the BBC and Station Editor at University Radio Nottingham. Robin Murphy holds an MSci in Physics with French from the University of Nottingham and completed a year of study abroad at EPFL.
