Xiayun Sun

Xiayun Sun has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. They currently hold the position of Director of Engineering at Monzo Bank since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Google where they served as an Engineering Manager in both L6 and L7 roles from April 2020 to July 2023. Before Google, they were an Engineering Manager at Babylon Health from April 2019 to April 2020 and a Squad Lead at Disney Streaming Services from May 2018 to April 2019. Xiayun also held positions at Agoda as an Engineering Manager from May 2016 to May 2018 and as a Data System Engineer from January 2015 to May 2016. They had experience in algorithmic trading at Cash HK from April 2014 to December 2014. They worked at Deutsche Bank from July 2011 to March 2014, where they held the role of Associate in Equity Market Risk Management. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at CUHK (The Chinese University of Hong Kong) from April 2009 to June 2011 and completed a summer internship at Deustche Bank in Market Risk Management in 2010.

Xiayun Sun attended The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2007 to 2011, where they studied computer science and actuarial science.
