David Chaves

David Chaves is an accomplished professional in the fields of electrification, connectivity, and automation within the construction industry. They joined Moog in 1982, serving in various roles including Product Engineer, Design Engineer, and Director of Launch Vehicle and NASA Programs, where they managed the Moog Launch Vehicles Business Unit from 2012 to 2018. David has extensive experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems across multiple industries including launch vehicles and naval technologies. They earned a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University and a MS in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Fluids and Controls from the University of Minnesota. As of 2023, David has taken on the role of Director at Moog Construction, focusing on automating the construction sector.
