Luis Maria Cabás Ormaechea

Luis Maria Cabás Ormaechea is a Senior Project Engineer at Moog Inc. since March 2019, with prior experience as an Aeronautics System Designer focused on Landing Gear at Airbus Defense and Space from March 2017 to January 2019. In this role, Luis led the Kneeling and hydromechanical integration efforts, overseeing the design and development of kneeling systems and ensuring compliance with applicable requirements for Landing Gear Systems. Previously, as a Consultant Mechanical Engineer at Media Consultores de Ingeniería / Altran from March 2007 to March 2017, Luis worked on the kneeling system for the A-400M and specialized in the design and simulation of hydraulic components. Early career experience includes serving as an I+D Mechanical Engineer at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where Luis led a team responsible for the mechanical design of Spain's first humanoid robot. Luis holds a PhD in Electrical, Electronic, and Automatic Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Nacional del Nordeste.
