Ronen Vaks

Ronen Vaks is the current VP of R&D at Moon Active, a top growing start-up in Israel. Ronen has been with the company for 4 years and 9 months, and has been instrumental in its success. Prior to joining Moon Active, Ronen was with Verint for 9 years and 7 months, where they held various positions including R&D Director, Cyber Intelligence Solutions, R&D Group Leader, Cyber Intelligence Solutions, and R&D Mediation Devices Team leader. In their role at Moon Active, Ronen is responsible for managing the R&D Common Components group, which includes front-end, back-end, full stack engineers and UX designers. Ronen also streamlines and unified UX internal processes, improving efficiencies between Visual Design, User Experience, Prototyping, Product Management and Engineering among all current projects. Additionally, Ronen has cross R&D responsibilities and leads the development of Verint’s newest and upcoming Web solution full stack group. Ronen has introduced new rising web cutting edge technologies and libraries such as AngularJS, React, Native, and Desktop – C# .NET and Server – Node.js, Express, Java, Elastic, Kafka and other languages and platforms. Thanks to Ronen’s leadership, Moon Active has become a top grossing game in every country it was launched.

Ronen Vaks attended The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo from 2005-2007, where they received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Rothberg high school from 1999-2001, where they majored in biology and computer science.
