The Moore Charitable Foundation is a private non-profit foundation committed to land and water conservation. Founded by lifelong conservationist Louis Bacon in 1992, the Foundation provides funding to local, regional and national conservation organizations.

The Foundation supports organizations that have protected and preserved thousands of acres of environmentally sensitive lands and water bodies, establishing Mr. Bacon as a leader in conservation, land preservation, habitat protection and the improvement of natural ecosystems and water systems. The Moore Charitable Foundation’s efforts are primarily focused in Colorado’s San Luis Valley, Long Island, NY, and Brunswick County, NC.
