MooseCat Recording is a boutique recording studio and music company in Los Angeles working across two primary areas: artist development and recording for labels and A&Rs, and music placement for film, television, and advertising.

Founded by producer and engineer Mike Post and singer songwriter Carly Liza, MooseCat was built as a creative home where artists, producers, labels, and music supervisors can collaborate and develop great records. The studio was acoustically designed by Grammy nominated engineer Ken Goerres and centers around a rare 1970s Auditronics console originally built for Stax Records, paired with modern Pro Tools HDX systems and Dolby Atmos mixing capabilities.

On the recording side, MooseCat works with artists, managers, and A&R teams to produce, record, and mix music in a professional but intimate environment. The studio regularly hosts recording sessions, writing camps, listening parties, and label showcases.

On the sync side, MooseCat Music represents a catalog of indie vocal music across Pop, Folk, RnB, Rock, and Hip Hop for use in film, television, advertising, and trailers. We work directly with music supervisors, production companies, networks, and agencies to provide songs for placement, as well as develop original music for projects.

Our goal is simple: create music that connects with audiences and give artists and industry partners a place to collaborate at the highest level.
