James Young

James Young, PhD, is the Founding Director of the Data Science Program at the College of Charleston, a multidisciplinary initiative that integrates statistics, mathematics, computer science, and artificial intelligence to extract actionable insights from data. James also serves on the Data Science Advisory Board for Moovila, focusing on enhancing work and project management through advanced modeling and AI. Previously, James held several leadership roles in data science and predictive analytics, including positions at CompuCom, PeopleMatter, and eThority. James's career began as the President and Founder of STATIS, specializing in statistical software development, and included a tenure as a Senior Research Analyst at Daniel H. Wagner Associates. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's in Mathematics from Columbia University.
