Barry Freeman

Barry Freeman is an experienced maritime professional with a career spanning over four decades in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Mate at Moran Towing Corporation since February 2023, Barry is responsible for navigation, ship operations, safety, and security. Additionally, Barry holds the position of Chief Mate and Vessel Operator at Reinauer Transportation Companies, LLC since December 2021. Previously, Barry served as Master at Bouchard Transportation Co., Inc. until March 2022, where responsibilities included managing operations for a 1600 Ton Oceans vessel, and promoting maritime safety through various endorsements. Earlier in Barry's career, roles included Master at MacAllister and a lengthy tenure as Captain at Red Circle Transportation, focusing on grain transportation from New Orleans to San Juan.
