Morfi Design helps hardware founders take ideas from concept through prototype to production without repeating the mistakes that kill profitability.

We work with founders at all stages: those with just an idea, those with early prototypes, and those staring at manufacturing quotes that don't make sense. The work is the same — catch the expensive mistake before it cascades.

Most founders design without considering manufacturing at scale. They build something that works at batch one, then discover their process is so labour-intensive it erases profits at batch ten. Every inefficient assembly step multiplies across volume. We catch this early. We question foundational assumptions about manufacturing process and batch economics before they become locked in. We educate the founder through the entire process, so they understand not just what we're doing, but why.

We operate from Blue Garage, a makerspace in Lewisham, South London. Most design consultancies hand off to manufacturers and hope. We build alongside our clients, which means real-time feedback on what works and what breaks. No surprises after tooling.

We work across industrial design, prototyping, design for manufacture, and first-production build support. Early-stage concept work, rapid prototyping to test assumptions, detailed DFM analysis, on-site support during first manufacturing runs — whatever the founder needs to move from idea to reality.

We run 1-2 projects at a time. This isn't a factory. It's focused, fast, collaborative problem-solving.

Founded 2019. Co-founded and operated by Aran Kalogroulis and Tamsin Brierley.
