John Beard

Jake Beard, a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, is currently the First Vice President, Financial Advisor, and Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley, a role they have held since 1997 after starting their career with Dean Witter Reynolds in 1969. They studied business and economics at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, and furthered their education at the Wharton School through the Senior Account Executive Program. Notable for their community involvement, Jake co-founded the Wayzata Prayer Breakfast and the Lake Minnetonka Chilly Open, and has received several accolades for their contributions, including being named a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and Wayzata Chamber of Commerce Person of the Year. Outside of work, Jake enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, kayaking, and spending time with family, including their daughter who has been their business partner since 2008.
