Karl Hackston

Karl Hackston is a highly experienced internal audit professional with extensive knowledge of banking and markets businesses across multiple locations and regions. They served as Head of Asia Internal Audit at Morgan Stanley since 2024, after holding various significant roles, including Chief Auditor - APAC at Deutsche Bank and Executive Director - Internal Audit at Goldman Sachs. Their career began at PricewaterhouseCoopers and includes experience as an Assistant Treasurer at BNY Mellon and an Internal Auditor at Bear Stearns & Co. Karl studied Economics at the University of Leicester and is a Fellow of ACCA, as well as a Member of The Institute of Internal Auditors.
