Jan Sobota

Jan Sobota has a diverse work experience in the IT industry, spanning over several companies. Jan started their career at Inter-Informatics in 1996, where they worked as a System Analyst, handling system analysis for aerospace and transportation product lifecycle management. Jan then became a Senior Programmer, responsible for custom software development. In 2002, they took on the role of Head of Information Systems Department, where they led a team of up to 34 people and provided architecture and methodological counseling.

In 2007, Jan joined ANECT a.s. as a Consultant, focusing on customer-oriented software development and building valuable corporate services. Jan later became the Head of Java Development Department, overseeing team leading, solution and enterprise architecture design, and business process analysis. Between 2010 and 2011, they served as the Head of the Business Integration Department, and was responsible for integrating business processes.

Jan then joined BSC Praha in 2011 as the Software Production Department Manager for my|GEMINI, leading the department until 2012. In 2013, they joined Wincor Nixdorf CZ as a Solution Architect, before transitioning to MoroSystems as a Team Leader in 2013. Jan held this position until 2018 when they were promoted to Senior Solutions Architect. In 2015, Jan also took on the role of Solution Architect at AEVI CZ s.r.o., where they remained until 2021. Throughout their career, they have gained extensive experience in solution architecture, team leadership, and software development.

Jan Sobota earned an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Design, CAD from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, where they studied from 1990 to 1995. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including the IBM Certified Solution Developer - Web Services Development for WebSphere Application Server V7.0 in February 2011, the Information Security Management foundation based on ISO/IEC 27002 from EXIN in November 2010, the ITIL Foundation from EXIN in 2010, the IBM Certified Business Process Analyst - WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced V6.1 in 2009, and the IBM Certified SOA Solution Designer in 2009.
