Mark Dyne

Founding Partner & Chairman at Morpheus Ventures

Mark is primarily focused on working with existing Morpheus portfolio companies. He is a current member of the Board of Directors of Atomico, Europe’s preeminent venture capital fund. He also serves as the Chairman and CEO of Europlay Capital Advisors. Mark was an early seed investor and member of the original Board of Directors of Skype with co-founders Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom, until it was sold to eBay for $3.1 billion. He subsequently led the acquisition negotiations with eBay for Joltid Limited to become a major shareholder of Skype in November 2009, when he rejoined the Board of Directors. He then facilitated the second sale of Skype to Microsoft for $8.5 billion.

Mark is a serial founder with multiple large successful exits. Previously, Mark served as CEO of Sega Gaming Technologies and Sega Ozisoft. Prior to this he was the founder and CEO of Ozisoft Pty Ltd., which he sold to First Pacific Hong Kong. Additionally, Mark became the CEO and Chairman of Virgin Interactive after leading its management buyout from Viacom. He subsequently sold Virgin Interactive to Titus Interactive SA. Mark was also a founder and director of Packard Bell NEC Australia Pty. Ltd. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Iconical and Talon International (TALN). MCV, a leading gaming publication, named him “The Deal Maker” and published his “Ten Rules of Negotiating.”
