Murray Markiles

Murray is primarily focused on deal execution and supporting Morpheus portfolio companies with legal and IP strategies. He is a Founding Partner of the law firm of Stubbs, Alderton & Markiles, LLP and is also a Managing Director of Europlay Capital Advisors. Previously, he was a Senior Partner in the corporate, media and high technology practice group of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP, one of the world’s largest law firms, where he specialized in sophisticated domestic and cross-border international public and venture capital transactions.

Murray has acted as lead counsel in sophisticated and novel transactions ranging from going private tender offers, to public and private mergers and acquisitions, to numerous initial and secondary public offerings and venture capital transactions. He started his law career at Hill, Wynne Troop & Meisinger, LLP, a leading Los Angeles corporate and entertainment legal practice, where he ultimately became a Partner. Murray received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, and a B.A in Political Science from UCLA, where he graduated magna cum laude.
