Asaf Vertz has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2007, they served as a System Administrator in the Israel Defense Forces. In 2009, they worked as a Technical Support at 012 Golden Lines. In 2011, they were a Teaching Assistant at Ben Gurion University. From 2012 to 2014, they were an iOS Developer at mobiwedo. From 2014 to 2018, they were an Embedded Software Developer at TandemG, where they were a Projects Consultant for Intel developing board support packages for a new SoC with DesignWare ARC HS38 Processor running Linux. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Software Engineer at Cartica AI, where they developed from scratch a Driver-assistance system (ADAS) on Renesas V3M/V3H boards using Renesas convolutional neural network ip (CNN-IP), in a Linux environment. Currently, they are a Linux Kernel Developer at Morphisec.

Asaf Vertz obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics and Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev between 2010 and 2013. asaf also obtained certifications from The Linux Foundation, MongoDB, edX, and Coursera between 2013 and 2022.
