Michael Barton has been in the technology industry since 2002, when they began working at Infoblox as a Salesperson. Michael was part of the original team pre-Sequioa Capital investment and led all sales efforts in North America, as well as initial Partner sales and SI engagements, achieving over 100% quota every year. In 2005, they began working at PortAuthority Technologies, where they were part of the original team that came from Infoblox and started and built out sales and partner channels in North America. In 2009, they joined Vertica Systems as a Regional Sales Director/VP, where they worked with the industry leading Data Warehouse and Analytics platform. In 2014, they moved to Nutonian as VP Major Account Sales, and then in 2015 they joined Alpine Data Labs as Regional Sales Manager, working with the World's First Collaborative Advanced Analytics platform for Big Data and Hadoop. In 2016, they became Director of Sales at Open Data Group, where they were responsible for changing the way predictive "big data" analytics and data science models were deployed in enterprises. In 2018, they moved to Skytap as Regional Sales Manager, providing cloud-based environments to the enterprise. Finally, in 2019 they joined Corero Network Security as Regional Sales Director and currently works at Morphisec as Senior Account Executive, providing prevention-first software that stops ransomware, fileless malware and other advanced attacks.
Michael Barton graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 1991 with a JD. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in History from Marquette University.
