Chris Smith

Chris Smith is an experienced procurement professional with a robust background in retail procurement management. Currently serving as Buying Manager at Morrisons since May 2022, Chris oversees end-to-end procurement processes with a COGs management responsibility of approximately £350 million per annum. Previous experience includes a role as Buyer at IPL International Procurement and Logistics from September 2018 to May 2022, with a focus on direct and indirect procurement across various produce categories. Chris began the career in the fresh produce sector as a Greengrocer at Unique Fruit and further developed skills through participation in the prestigious IPL/ASDA Commercial Graduate Scheme. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Sport Business Management from Leeds Beckett University, earned between 2015 and 2018.
