Nick Ulmer

Nick Ulmer, CAP, currently serves as Principal Operations Research Analyst at CANA LLC, where leadership is provided to a team producing high-level analytics products across federal and commercial domains. With extensive experience in operations research and logistics, Nick has held various leadership roles, including President-Elect and Voting Director of MORS, and President of the Veterans Interest Forum within INFORMS. Nick’s previous positions include faculty at the Naval Postgraduate School and Director of Personnel Plans and Policy for the US Navy, focusing on personnel administration and analytics in support of logistics and service professionals. Nick holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School and has cultivated a track record of developing analytics and decision support systems throughout a diverse career in military and educational settings.
