Principal Firmware Engineer at Morse Micro

Ayman Grais has extensive work experience in the software and firmware engineering field. Ayman is currently working as a Principal Firmware Engineer at Morse Micro since July 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of a Senior Firmware Engineer at the same company from July 2020 to June 2021.

Before joining Morse Micro, Ayman worked at Silicon Labs, where they started as an Associate Staff Software Engineer in January 2017 and served until June 2020. During their time at Silicon Labs, they provided technical assistance to customers, wrote custom applications in C or Python to showcase the company's technology, and participated in design validation and technical article preparations.

Prior to Silicon Labs, Ayman worked at Zentri, which was later acquired by Silicon Labs. Ayman held the role of a Senior Software Engineer from July 2015 to January 2017. In this position, they focused on developing and porting protocols to work with ZentriOS and collaborated with cloud providers to promote Zentri software solutions.

Ayman's previous experience includes working at Cohda Wireless as a Software Engineer from July 2014 to April 2015, where they developed wireless vehicular software modules and implemented car-to-car communication algorithms. Ayman also worked at Valeo as a Technical Team Lead from October 2012 to January 2014 and as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2012 to October 2012.

Additionally, Ayman has experience at Newport Media as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer from January 2010 to December 2011, where they worked with Android operating systems and J2EE for porting software and writing simulation UIs. Ayman also served as an Embedded Software Engineer from January 2008 to December 2009 at Newport Media, where they integrated and ported FLO protocol stack on iPhone JPTV accessory and managed project software releases.

Earlier in their career, Ayman worked at IPMagix as a Software Engineer from September 2006 to December 2007, developing applications for IP Cisco phones using Cisco Call Manager. Ayman also had a trainee role at EME International from July 2005 to September 2005, where they developed applications related to e-business and security systems using ActiveX, JSP, Servlets, Java, and Socket Programming.

Ayman Grais pursued their education in Computer Engineering at Cairo University. From 2001 to 2006, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Following this, they obtained a Diploma (Pre-master) in Computer Engineering from Cairo University in 2006-2007.
