Stephen Hagen has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Stephen started their career at MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a Signal Processing Engineer in 2016. Stephen then worked at NEXX Systems as an Automation Engineer, where they designed power distribution and motor control boxes using AutoCAD and Solidworks. In 2017, they joined RIVeR Lab at Northeastern University as a Research Assistant, where they developed software for a Toyota Human Service Robot to follow people using RGBD sensor data. Stephen also worked at Abaco Systems, Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they developed sales demonstrations and wrote C/C++ software for LiDAR depth data visualization. Stephen integrated 360° camera array image stitching with object detection for valid target tracking and following. In their most recent position at MORSE Corp starting in 2021, they are working as a Software Engineer.
Stephen Hagen completed their education in a chronological order. Stephen obtained a High School Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tri County Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2014. After that, they attended UMass Boston from 2012 to 2014, where they pursued Mathematics but did not receive a degree. Stephen then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northeastern University, from 2014 to 2019. Recently, from 2019 to 2021, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, also from Northeastern University.
