The MortarCAPS Data Standard is a transformative, not-for-profit initiative aimed at unifying and simplifying data frameworks within the global post-secondary education sector.

Developed in collaboration with CAUDIT (Council of Australasian University Directors of Information Technology), this innovative standard addresses the real-world needs of higher education while fostering collaboration and driving progress.

Built on the globally recognized CAUDIT HERM (Higher Education Reference Model), adopted by over 1,000 institutions worldwide, the MortarCAPS Data Standard provides a unified framework for managing and leveraging data across higher education institutions.

This alignment ensures consistency, adaptability, and global relevance, empowering institutions to adopt new innovations like micro-credentials, stackable credentials, and lifelong learning.

It’s a solution designed by the sector, for the sector, ensuring real-world relevance while laying the foundation for a more adaptable, sustainable, and student-centered future.
