Mosaic Weighted Blankets uses “sensory sensitive” fabrics that can breathe, are soft and not overly heavy. The blanket provides pressure therapy from its “bean bag feel” construction. Deep pressure touch stimulation (like a massage) is provided through the blanket’s non-toxic poly-pellets, which are hand-sewn into individually weighted quilting squares to provide a therapeutic effect.

The company's initial focus was primarily in the areas of addressing self-calming and sleep needs relating to people with Sensory Processing Disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorders, including ADD/ADHD and Asperger's.
