Randy Thompson

Randy Thompson is the owner of Industry Solutions/CFPS, providing consulting, training, and troubleshooting services for hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electric motors and controls, bearings, and mechanical power transmission since May 2014. With extensive experience as a Training and Development Specialist at Motion Industries since June 1991, Randy has developed curricula in Mechanical, Fluid Power, and Electrical equipment while also working on hydraulic power unit design and performance improvement. Prior experience includes serving as an Industry Specialist at Baldor Electric Company, developing courses and offering customer support, and holding the position of Adjunct Faculty at The University of Alabama at Birmingham where Randy developed and instructed courses for the Mechanical Engineering program. Randy began a career in education as an Electronics Instructor at the National Education Center, where multiple courses and an FCC licensing course were developed. Randy holds an Associate's degree in Industrial Electronics from Southern Technical College, completed in 1987.
