Senior Innovation Consultant & Cluster Lead - Innovation Design at Motius

Max Theilacker has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Max started their career at BMW M, where they assisted the product managers in launch management, market research, and sales material development. Max then joined Gore and worked as an assisting innovation manager, conducting studies and coordinating workshops. Max later pursued their PhD at the University of Melbourne, where they focused on customer co-production and its impact on new product success. During this time, they also worked as a sessional lecturer and tutor. After completing their PhD, Max joined the Centre for Workplace Leadership as a research fellow, conducting research on innovation and management. Max then moved to the University of Melbourne as a research fellow and lecturer, specializing in innovation management, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship. Max also served as a manager of strategic projects and innovation at Roy Morgan before joining RMIT University's Melbourne Innovation Districts as a program manager. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Innovation Consultant & Cluster Lead - Innovation Design at Motius, an R&D company.

Max Theilacker has a strong education background in the field of Technology and Management. Max began their academic journey in 2002 at the Technical University of Munich, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in 2006. Max then went on to pursue further education and obtained a Master's degree from the same institution between 2006 and 2008. Following their Master's degree, they enrolled at the University of Melbourne in 2011 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree with a specialization in Marketing and New Product Development. Max successfully completed their Ph.D. studies in 2015, further solidifying their expertise in their chosen field.
