David Tooley

David Tooley is now mostly retired but continues to engage in Fire Safety and Corrosion Assessment work. They were a Principal Rolling Stock Engineer at Mott MacDonald, specializing in Fire Safety and Materials, and have expertise in Fire Standards such as EN 45545 and BS 6853. Previously, at Bombardier Transportation, they led Fire Safety and Materials selection for new rail projects. David holds an Honours degree in Metallurgy from The University of Manchester and completed O and A levels at Park High School in Birkenhead. They are a member of several engineering institutions, including the Institute of Materials, Mining and Minerals and the Institute of Corrosion.
