PETER SHARP

Peter Sharp is a Geotechnical Director and Earthworks Global Practice Leader at Mott MacDonald, bringing over 30 years of international experience in geotechnical analysis, design, and research. They have specialized in heavy and deep foundations across various sectors, including energy, water, transportation, and maritime, with work experiences spanning South Korea, Taiwan, Dubai, Bahrain, and the UK. Sharp has contributed to key projects such as The Line in Saudi Arabia and HS2 Phase 2B, providing expertise in geotechnical forensics and risk management. Their achievements include winning the ICE Ground Engineering Annual Awards 2022 Sustainability Award for the rehabilitation of Gumbasa Canal in Indonesia. Sharp holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics from the University of Portsmouth.
