Kyle Aabak

Kyle Aabak has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. kyle began their career as a Process Operator at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, where they gained hands-on experience maintaining and repairing process equipment. kyle also monitored field equipment and worked on improving equipment performance.

Following this, Kyle worked as an Engineering Intern at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, where they further honed their skills in designing efficient pipeline systems and redlining gas processing and compression facilities. kyle also conducted tests on gauges throughout the facility.

Kyle then joined STV|GWD as an Engineering Specialist, where they worked on designing gas facilities. kyle was involved in a variety of tasks, including creating and editing P&ID's, conducting process simulations, designing pipes and equipment, writing reports, and creating project proposals. kyle also played a role in procuring equipment and valves, as well as participating in safety studies. Additionally, they worked as a Refrigeration Plant Operator at STV|GWD, where they operated and maintained the refrigeration facility, troubleshooted issues, and trained personnel.

In 2016, Kyle joined CenturyLink as an Engineering Assistant, before moving on to Black & Veatch as an OSP Design Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for managing LU's provided by the client and creating visual layouts for fiber cable routes. kyle also provided detailed information related to cable layout, spans, and fiber counts.

Alongside their other roles, Kyle founded Kyva Fiber, an OSP Fiber Design company, where they leveraged their knowledge of cable rules and best design practices to provide efficient and effective cable layouts for cities across the United States.

Most recently, Kyle worked at MOUNTAIN, LTD. as a Senior OSP Design Engineer, where they handled a wide range of responsibilities in OSP Engineering for clients such as Lumen. This included working on various projects such as copper work, FTTT, FTTH, REMO/RELOC, ROADMOVES, CAF, CDFS, POLE JOBS, NEW GROWTH, BORE, TRENCH, BURY, SFU, and MDU.
