Mountainsmith
Luke Boldman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product management and design. Currently serving as the Product Line Manager and Design Lead at Mountainsmith since November 2023, Luke also operates Bold Designs, LLC, providing contract services in web, graphic, and product design, as well as soft-goods product development. Previous roles include Graphic Designer at Evergreen Park & Recreation District from May 2019 to March 2024, and a long tenure at Mountainsmith as Product Line Manager and Lead Designer from February 2006 to August 2018. Earlier in their career, Luke was Lab Manager and Senior Orthotic Technician at Prosthetic Orthotic Associates from September 1997 to May 2005. Educational qualifications include a BS in Industrial Design from Arizona State University, an Associate's Degree in Fire Science from Red Rocks Community College, and two Bachelor's degrees in Anthropology from the University of Cincinnati.

Founded in Golden, Colorado in 1979, Mountainsmith was born and bred in the Rockies. Our story began with Colorado adventurists that never quite fit (or cared about) the status quo. Not afraid to get their hands dirty, they needed seriously durable gear that could withstand the rigors of their backcountry pursuits. With weeks at a time in the woods, they’d come up with new ideas and prototypes out of any materials on-hand, not just building gear, but building a culture and brand that is still rooted in its connection to the Rockies. We’ve spent the last 40+ years playing and working hard; testing and creating innovative technology and materials; serving and joining non-traditional outdoorsmen and women on trails long and short; combining our passions for backpacking, camping, and hiking. Our gear, like our community, is forged for life.
