Mountainwater Films is a strategic destination video partner based in Appalachia, working with communities across the region and beyond. We create cinematic, community-centered storytelling that captures the spirit of place while highlighting the people, culture, landscapes, and experiences that make destinations distinctive and vibrant.

Founded in 2019, Mountainwater Films partners with Destination Marketing Organizations, Tourism Development Authorities, local businesses, brands, and nonprofits to produce content that does more than inspire travel. Our work is designed to promote local economies, build community pride, and support thoughtful, long-term destination goals.

Our approach is guided by the H.O.P.E. framework: Heritage, Outdoors, People, and Economies. These pillars ensure every project reflects the full identity of a place not just its attractions. From living cultural traditions and outdoor recreation to small businesses and community leaders, we focus on stories that resonate with both visitors and residents.

Our services include short-form documentaries, web series, behind-the-scenes storytelling, social media content, and seasonal or ongoing content campaigns. We offer flexible, strategic partnerships tailored to niche audiences and evolving destination needs, helping our partners stay relevant in a rapidly changing tourism landscape.

Whether documenting a local festival, showcasing hidden gems, or supporting a regional tourism initiative, we approach every project with intention, collaboration, and respect for the communities we serve.
