Michael Schultz has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Michael is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Mousse Partners since May 2019. Prior to that, they held various roles at Och-Ziff Capital Management from 2006 to 2019 including Managing Director, Director of Accounting, Managing Director, Fund Controller, Assistant Controller, Financial Controls Manager, and Accountant. At Och-Ziff, they managed a department of finance and accounting professionals and was responsible for fund accounting, financial reporting, valuations, and regulatory reporting. Michael also played a key role in designing financial reporting processes, implementing accounting policies, coordinating audits, and producing financial statements. Before joining Och-Ziff, Michael worked as a Senior Accountant at Ernst & Young LLP from 2004 to 2006, where they gained experience in auditing hedge funds. Michael started their career as an Accountant at Wojeski & Company CPA's from 2003 to 2004, where they conducted audits, prepared tax returns, and completed bookkeeping tasks.
Michael Schultz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Syracuse University, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Michael later obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from New York State in 2006.
