Mouvements Modernes was founded in 2002 by Pierre Staudenmeyer, historical defender of design and founder of the Neotu gallery. Focused on the field of contemporary design and decorative arts, the gallery defends numerous artists under the direction of Sophie Mainier-Jullerot, its director. 

Today, the gallery offers a selection of works, icons of design from the 80s and 90s, a nod to Neotu gallery's history, with pieces signed by Martin Szekely, Garouste & Bonetti or Dan Friedman who marked those years. 
The gallery also continues the work begun by Pierre Staudenmeyer by selecting artists and designers who work on unique collector's items as well as on limited editions. Thus young designers such as Tim Leclabart or Fabien Petiot work on small furniture in limited edition and reaffirm the French tradition of decorative arts. They summon know-how and bring it to a certain contemporaneity through their designs. Finally, the gallery represents a group of artists, creators of contemporary objects, who are part of our time and use the material to serve their art. Matthew Chambers, Daniela Busarello, Sejin Bae, Yoshiaki Kojiro, Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert all illustrate an exceptional know-how in ceramics, glass or textiles. 

Mouvements Modernes organizes exhibitions and events, highlighting the heart of current contemporary creation. The gallery presents about fifteen artists, whom it promotes in France and abroad, notably thanks to its participation in international fairs. The gallery also develops tailor-made projects, putting artists and designers in contact with professionals such as interior architects or private individuals.
