Mark Kapij has extensive work experience in various leadership and advisory roles. In 1989, they co-founded Camsys Inc., a company that developed and sold 3D vision-based measurement systems to prominent manufacturers like Toyota, GM, and Nissan. Mark then moved on to work as the Co-Director of the Lviv Business Incubator, where they played a crucial role in promoting entrepreneurship and establishing the first Ukrainian IT outsourcing firms. Afterwards, they served as the Development Manager at PRI Automation and SunGard. In 2001, they founded SoftServe Inc., which became the largest Eastern European IT firm under their presidency. Mark also worked as the President of Darwin's Grove, LLC and played a significant role in managing the company until February 2020. In 2016, they became an investor and advisor for STIYSTIL, a company that specializes in selling standing desks to the IT Outsourcing industry. Additionally, Mark Kapij worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, teaching in the MIT (NSF) I-Corps program. Currently, they hold the position of CEO at Movably, a company focused on providing innovative solutions.

Mark Kapij attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they obtained a Sloan Fellow degree. Prior to that, they attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mark furthered their education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and completed a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
