Ed Fitch

Ed Fitch has over 20 years of experience in the software engineering field. Ed began their career at Mobile Data Systems as a Software Developer, where they enhanced and maintained client/server applications for a wireless workforce management system. Ed then moved on to become a Technical Lead, leading a team in defining, configuring, and implementing an MDSI wireless workforce management client/server system.

Afterwards, Fitch worked at Telos Technology as a Team Lead, producing customer release packages and resolving high priority issues. Ed supervised a development team in building a custom release package and coordinated efforts between various teams to resolve customer issues.

Ed then joined Absolute Software Solutions as a Build Manager, where they managed the source code and defect/change request systems. Ed created versioned builds and supervised a team in creating a custom change tracking system.

Following that, Fitch worked at Simple SCM as a Software Designer, creating a suite of Software Configuration Management products. Ed developed a defect tracking and release management system that integrated with Visual Sourcesafe.

At Business Objects, Fitch worked as a Build and Release Engineer, managing the build break triage process and maintaining the custom build system.

Ed later joined Top Producer Systems as a Release Engineer, where they designed and built a fully integrated build pipeline system. Ed added dependency tracking to support a new Service Oriented Architecture initiative.

Currently, Fitch is employed at Move, Inc as a Senior Systems Engineer. Ed helped migrate systems to AWS and provided architectural guidance to development teams. Ed also trained developers in operations ownership and implemented new deployment pipelines.

Ed Fitch obtained a Diploma in Computer Systems Technology - Data Communications (with honours) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Ed attended the institute from 1997 to 1999, majoring in Computer Systems - Data Communication.
