Xiao Wu

Digital circuit design engineer at Movellus

Xiao Wu has been working in the field of digital circuit design engineering since 2019. In that year, they began working as a Digital Circuit Design Engineer for Movellus Inc. and as a Research Fellow in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan. At the University of Michigan, Xiao Wu was responsible for bioinformatics tool chain construction for accurate bacteria strain typing using nanopore sequencing and proposed digitally aided multiplex PCR primer design to reduce primer design time. Xiao also worked as a VLSI Lead for Sequal in 2019. In 2018, Xiao Wu was an Intern, SEG-Power Circuit & Tech at Apple, where they proposed and evaluated low power architectures for on-chip power management units to reduce leakage power of deep submicron SoC, co-designed a power regulation unit with low power amplifier, charge pump and voltage detector, and verified its robustness across required process, voltage and temperature range. Additionally, they automated circuit sizing and design verification with Python. In 2018, they were also a Graduate Student Instructor, VLSI Design II at the University of Michigan.

Xiao Wu began their education in 2010, when they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Xiao then continued their studies at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2014, followed by a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2016, and finally a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, VLSI in 2019.
