Char Singleton

Program Director at Movement Labs

Char Singleton has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. In 2006, Char worked as an intern for Lew Williams for School Board. From 2010 to 2011, Char served as an Organizer/Member for Fight Back Florida. In 2012, Char worked as a Field Organizer for the Florida Consumer Action Network. Char then joined the Service Employees International Union in 2013 as an Organizer In Training, where they conducted outreach efforts, built relationships with workers, and developed leaders. In the same year, Char also worked as a Regional Field Rep for the American Association of University Women. From 2015 to 2016, Char worked as an Organizer for SEIU FPSU, focusing on internal and external union organizing efforts, outreach to non-union workers, and building relationships. In 2017, Char became the Organizing Director for Dream Defenders, a role they held until 2018. In 2018, Char joined Movement Labs as the Program Director, and also briefly served as the Rapid Resist Program Manager.

Char Singleton attended the University of South Florida from the year 2008 to 2012. During this period of time, they pursued a Bachelor's of Arts & Science degree with a specialization in Political Science and Government.
