Ian Lyons has a diverse range of work experience in the political and data analytics field. Ian most recently worked as a Lead Analyst at Movement Labs starting in 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Voter Protection Director at the Democratic Party of Illinois in 2020 and as the Deputy Data Director, Illinois at Team Bloomberg in early 2020. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as the Director of Data and Analytics at Progressive Turnout Project. Ian also gained experience as a Data & Analytics Manager at Lockwood Strategy Lab in 2018 and as a Public Service Intern at the City of Chicago's Department of Planning and Development. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and as an Outreach Associate at the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. In 2016, they served as a Regional Data Director for the Democratic Party of Virginia and in 2015 as a Mobilization Lead at Airbnb. Ian'sroles have involved data analysis, research, organizing, and event management.
Ian Lyons completed their high school education at Centreville High School, obtaining a High School Diploma in 2010. Ian then attended William & Mary from 2010 to 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs. In 2017, Ian enrolled in the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, completing a Master of Science in Computational Analysis and Public Policy from 2017 to 2019.
