Jacques Chen

Jacques Chen is a Machine Learning Engineer currently at Moveworks, focusing on Search and Large Language Models since October 2023. Prior experience includes working at Hive on generative video diffusion models and AI media detection, and as a Software Engineer at Nuro, where contributions involved improving mapping tools for autonomous vehicles and redesigning data storage schemas. Additional roles include an internship at Matrox, where Jacques researched 3D pose estimation, and a research assistantship at The University of British Columbia, involving deep learning experiments. Earlier internships at Asana and Google included contributions to UI/UX improvements and backend development. Jacques holds a Combined Major in Computer Science and Statistics from The University of British Columbia and completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at Port Moody Secondary School.
