Joachim Faust

Joachim Faust is a seasoned educator and data specialist with extensive experience in language instruction and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Data Specialist/Translator at Moveworks since April 2019 and as a Teacher/Mentor at Fusion Academy San Mateo, Joachim has also contributed as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of San Francisco, teaching first-year French. Previous roles include instructing professional communication skills at the International Institute of St. Louis, teaching Global Cultural Dexterity in the Executive MBA Program at the John Cook School of Business, and leading German language classes at Southwestern Illinois College and the German School Association. Joachim's teaching career is further distinguished by positions at The Waldorf School of St. Louis, 清华大学, and Washington University, where a diverse range of subjects including Russian language and linguistics were taught. Joachim holds a Ph.D. in Slavic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from The University of Kansas and an MA in Slavic Studies and German Studies from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
