Spenser O'Connell

Spenser O'Connell serves as Chief of Staff at MP Materials since July 2022, contributing to the mission of restoring the rare earth supply chain in the United States. Prior to this role, Spenser has been with JHL Capital Group LLC since September 2013, initially as Executive Assistant to the CEO before becoming Chief of Staff, focusing on delivering superior risk-adjusted investment returns. Earlier experience includes serving as Executive Assistant to the CEO and Managing Director at HFR Asset Management from June 2012 to September 2013, where responsibilities included managing investment products for institutional and high net worth investors. Spenser holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Regis University, complemented by minors in Business and Criminology.
