Michiel Van Rhijn

Michiel Van Rhijn has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Michiel is currently a Business Unit Manager at ARS Traffic & Transport Technology, a position they have held since January 2019. Prior to this, they worked at MP Objects from 2014 to 2019, where they held the roles of Account Manager and later VP Services.

In 2012, Michiel founded Whatsgo, an app designed to provide information about public activities in a user's neighborhood. Michiel was responsible for various aspects of the business including account management, sales, product development, and project management.

Before Whatsgo, they founded and co-owned EventAssist, an online registration tool for event managers, from 2005 to 2014. Additionally, Michiel was the founder and co-owner of Game Events from 2001 to 2014. There, they organized interactive corporate events and was responsible for sales, account management, and event organization.

Michiel started their career as an NMS Engineer at Nokia in 2000, where they worked until 2001.

From 1986 to 1992, they attended St.-Janscollege in Hoensbroek, where they completed their VWO (Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs) and achieved their Atheneum B qualification.

Following this, from 1992 to 1999, Michiel Van Rhijn enrolled at Delft University of Technology. During this period, they pursued a degree in Applied Physics and successfully completed their studies, earning an Msc. degree.
